The Color Morale
The Color Morale is a christian metalcore band from Chicago, Illinois. They are not a widely popular, but in the "metalcore scene" they are definitely growing in popularity. Their first album, We All Have Demons, was written mostly with the idea that we all encounter different things in life that pull us away from our relationships with God and we how cope with them. The song "I, The Jury" is the last song on the album and it is heavier song with more melodic choruses. The album over all is heavy with Garrett Rapp's intense screams, but does have melodic aspects to it with Rapp's very impressive singing voice as well. While the album is not quite the typical metalcore album with lots of breakdowns in them, they use many creative chords that don't take away from the tight rhythmic style of their music.
April 5, 2011 The Color Morale put out their sophomore album, My Devil In Your Eyes. This album is quite different than the first album, and much better in my opinion. The lyrics are much more thought out, first of all. The rhythmic aspect of the album is much tighter and cleaner. Any listener can tell that the breakdowns were much more thought out on this album. The song Devil Teeth is actually much different than any other songs they have written. This shows that TCM has really progressed as a band.

Romanian Gypsies
A huge growing passion in my life has been international mission work. I have felt like God has been telling me that spreading His word and love to people who live in much, much worse conditions than I. Those who, because of the country or region they live in hinders there chances at hearing God's word. This past saturday He laid Romania on my heart and specifically the village of Tinca. I think that people should be more willing to go to this country and serve these broken people.
In Romania, Gypsies are the outcasts of society. They are thought of on the same level as dogs. Some signs in the restaurant in the city even read, "No dogs or gypsies." Because of the harsh treatments gypsies live in complete poverty. There children have no one to take care of them, because there parents are out in the streets begging for money.
There is a ministry located right in the town of Tinca now. The Forget-Me-Not ministry was founded my Rachel Ross, a graduate of Lincoln Christian College. She started the Isaiah Center which is a 24 hour care center for the children of Tinca and surrounding areas. It currently has 8 permanent residents; all children. The center is in constant need of volunteers to help take care of the children that come in and out of the center daily.
If the thought of children living on the street, being abused, and starving is not a scary enough thought, then I do not know what is.

Freewriting!!!
TOMS shoes is so important to me! Why? Well I think it is so awesome that someone can make a different to so many people through shoes. I mean most of us probably don't even know what kind of shoe our best friends wear because they just are not articles of clothing the average person thinks about the most. Better yet is that the founder of TOMS shoes makes this his occupation in life.
The people in South America and other countries that TOMS takes shoes to all have high risks of contracting diseases through their feet. The inhabits of these parts of the world are not in good health and this cause seriously effects the lives of these people. If you have never looked on toms.com or any other website that gives info on the diseases these peoples can get then you should because they are life threatening.
I have had a passion burning in my for quite some time now to travel the world reaching out to others. From my perspective I want to reach out to them and share the Word of God. There is just so much hurt and brokenness on this earth and I just want to do all that I can to help.
Buying TOMS is one sure way to do this if you also have a passion for others who do not have the same luxuries as us. Even if you do not have the "guts" or the time or even the willingness to go over to other countries and work side by side with others who need our help TOMS is that way to be involved either way.

This is absolutely ridiculous
I have forgotten the last two blogs now and it is irritating the heck out of me. I have written it down several times and heard Stephanie talk about almost every day of class. For some reason I stil cannot remember to write the blog by the due date. So I am doing this one ahead of time in frustration
I have to ask myself, "what is it that causes me to not remember this?" I think the answer comes in routine. I work 26 hours per week, 16 credit hours for school, and many other church related activities. I have very little time where I am just sitting down relaxing and it is very hard for me to get into any sort of routine with some things because I do not do them every day. A routine is very important in someone's day that is very busy, because with out it something simple, like writing a blog on time, can be easily forgotten.
I think that one affective would be to ask a close family member or friend to make the person sit down and do the work they need to do. This way would be most effective because having a person remind someone is more likely to trigger some sort of sense of his or her conscience. They may start thinking, "If (insert name here) told me I need to do this then I really should do it." On the other hand, for those who are more stubborn, a different approach would be to practice it ahead of time. If someone knows they are going to have a busy week it would be more effective to make a point to practice doing the task at a certain time of day each day or week instead of waiting to see when he or she has free time.
