The Color Morale

The Color Morale is a christian metalcore band from Chicago, Illinois. They are not a widely popular, but in the "metalcore scene" they are definitely growing in popularity. Their first album, We All Have Demons, was written mostly with the idea that we all encounter different things in life that pull us away from our relationships with God and we how cope with them. The song "I, The Jury" is the last song on the album and it is heavier song with more melodic choruses. The album over all is heavy with Garrett Rapp's intense screams, but does have melodic aspects to it with Rapp's very impressive singing voice as well. While the album is not quite the typical metalcore album with lots of breakdowns in them, they use many creative chords that don't take away from the tight rhythmic style of their music.
April 5, 2011 The Color Morale put out their sophomore album, My Devil In Your Eyes. This album is quite different than the first album, and much better in my opinion. The lyrics are much more thought out, first of all. The rhythmic aspect of the album is much tighter and cleaner. Any listener can tell that the breakdowns were much more thought out on this album. The song Devil Teeth is actually much different than any other songs they have written. This shows that TCM has really progressed as a band.

  1. Neat topic, and good use of visuals. Remember, Brandon, these blogs needs to be argumentative. So, put your position up front. This album is better than the first for these reasons...
